About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the development and maintenance of complex program schedules, including resource loading and Earned Value Analysis
- Support programs in developing plans and integrating inputs from all programs
- Interface with program team elements to develop and maintain the integrated master schedule (IMS)
- Perform schedule analysis for assigned programs and projects
- Integrate major project and program schedules across finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
- Track plans and schedules; perform risk analysis; identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts
- Use critical path, driving path, variance metrics, milestone charts, Earned Value Management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances
- Ensure compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines per DECM metrics
- Manage the end-to-end life cycle of planning and schedule management
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external customer communication and status
- Oversee performance against program budgets and communicate necessary adjustments to Cost Account Managers
- Develop integrated master schedules using SOW and WBS
- Perform time-phased analyses, critical path verification, and schedule risk assessments
- Resolve schedule conflicts and develop and implement workaround strategies and tactical alternatives
- Analyze program schedules to evaluate program-wide and enterprise-wide resource needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior scheduling experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years prior scheduling experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related scheduling experience
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) including Cost or Schedule Integration
- Experience maintaining schedules across the product life cycle, including critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis
- Experience with MS Project and Milestones Professional
- Knowledge of engineering processes, principles, and practices
- Knowledge of risk management concepts and risk analysis related to master schedules
- Knowledge of DoD EVMS Guidelines (ANSI-748C), IPPD, and IPMR
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
