About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and qualify new or existing suppliers, including international suppliers
Develop and execute supplier engagement strategies during MAC capacity expansion and production ramp-up
Assess supplier manufacturing processes, quality systems, and technical capability for missile production requirements
Lead early supplier engagement for manufacturability and quality planning
Support capability development and process improvements for long-term production growth
Provide technical and strategic leadership for supplier quality performance, quality planning, risk management, and continuous improvement
Use data-driven methodologies and statistical tools to strengthen supplier capability, reduce variation, and prevent defects
Apply advanced quality engineering principles throughout the supplier lifecycle
Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Develop supplier quality plans, process controls, and inspection strategies
Participate in MRB, change review boards, and configuration control activities
Lead complex supplier investigations and ensure effective SCAR closure
Travel approximately 50% domestically and internationally

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant quality experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related quality experience
Current passport needed for domestic/international travel
Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance
Valid driver’s license
Experience in aerospace materials and manufacturing processes
Experience in supplier qualification
Experience with composites, EPDM elastomers, phenolic materials, or specialty chemicals
Experience with Metal Case and Flowforming processes
Experience with precision machined components
Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145
Six Sigma Certification
Previous MRB experience
Experience supporting missile systems or defense aerospace programs
