About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide Supply Chain/Material Management representation and leadership for Business Unit and Business Development activities
  • Lead the Supply Chain/Material Management functional organization in developing and documenting strategies, plans, and processes
  • Integrate supply chain management into the Program Management plan
  • Work directly with Program Management and serve as primary customer contact for supply chain program activities
  • Represent procurement on program integrated program teams (IPTs)
  • Interface cross-functionally to resolve material status, problems, and issues
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional teams while interacting with suppliers, supply chain directors, program managers, functional managers, and customers
  • Support supply chain activities for development and production proposals
  • Plan and execute affordability, supplier quality, and supplier performance improvement initiatives
  • Support subcontract negotiations
  • Assist in developing supplier baseline program plans, budgets, and schedule baselines
  • Prepare presentations and lead presentations to peers, customers, suppliers, and managers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior supply chain experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior supply chain experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior supply chain experience
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and Project Management
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly and ATP processes
  • Experience with EVM (Earned Value Management) is preferred
  • Ability to evaluate plans, processes and results
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment
  • Knowledge of program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting and earned value management
  • Ability to implement product design and development stage gate process
