About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work within an Integrated Product Team to develop systems for a diverse customer base
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and customers to understand real-world needs, priorities, and operational feedback
  • Convert algorithms to real-time, reusable DSP C/C++ code compliant with an existing system architecture
  • Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing
  • Evaluate and advance system architecture, component interfaces, and operational performance requirements
  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to software development
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems using Object Oriented Programming methodologies
  • Develop and test software in the Linux operating system
  • Prepare and produce software component releases
  • Investigate and resolve defects
  • Develop documentation as needed
  • Develop web applications using a popular web framework
  • Perform network socket programming using TCP/IP and UDP
  • Design and develop multi-threaded, distributed systems
  • Work with modern data communication protocols and formats such as XML, JSON, and REST APIs
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Work with flexible goals and shifting priorities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active US TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • Demonstrated Object Oriented Programming experience with a strong focus on Java, C++, or JavaScript
  • Multi-threaded programming skills
  • Experience in a Linux development environment
  • Network socket programming
  • Knowledge and understanding of RF and receiver concepts
  • Software Defined Radio experience
  • AI/ML experience
  • Shell scripting experience
  • FPGA experience
  • Experience using software configuration management tools such as Git and SVN
  • Virtualization and containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
  • Rocky/Red Hat Linux image customization and Kickstart scripting
  • Software architectural expertise, including service-oriented architecture and micro-services
  • Databases and SQL
  • Google Protocol Buffer (GPB) data serialization
  • Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
