About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, support, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure within Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, and Lambda
Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Linux systems
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible
Install monitoring agents
STIG and harden AWS AMIs
Monitor system performance and resource usage
Identify potential problems and implement solutions to maintain system resilience and security
Design and implement solutions that comply with security policies
Support a secure and resilient IT environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) clearance
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 required professional certification: CCNA-Security, Security+ CE, or higher certification
System administration expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services
Experience managing and optimizing Linux systems, specifically Red Hat Linux
Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Robust understanding of security and risk management
Knowledge of system monitoring
Proven track record of designing and implementing solutions compliant with security policies
Experience with continuous integration, build management, and automated test frameworks preferred
Experience with virtualization technologies and backup solutions preferred
Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment preferred
