About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, including user and computer objects, security groups, organizational units, delegated administration, domain joins, and account lifecycle activities
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects
  • Support DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Sites and Services, domain controller operations, replication health, and authentication troubleshooting
  • Build, configure, patch, harden, and maintain physical and virtual Windows Server systems
  • Support Windows desktop operating systems and enterprise workstations, including provisioning, software installation, troubleshooting, and compliance
  • Support VMware vSphere and Windows-based virtual compute environments
  • Execute operating system patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance-related changes for Windows servers and endpoints
  • Support STIG hardening, secure baseline configurations, audit finding remediation, and validation of required settings
  • Support SCCM and WSUS for software deployment, patch distribution, update compliance, client health, and systems maintenance
  • Administer Microsoft PKI and certificate services, including enrollment, renewal, revocation, distribution, and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot system, authentication, policy, performance, and connectivity issues and coordinate resolution with peer teams, vendors, and application owners
  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities
  • Support incident response, service requests, outage restoration, and change management using established operational processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior related experience
  • Hands-on experience administering Windows Server environments in an enterprise domain
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP in a production environment
  • Experience with server patching, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance-driven maintenance activities
  • Ability to work onsite in Melbourne, Florida; remote work is not available
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including onsite response within one hour when required
  • Ability to support off-hours and weekend work as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
  • Ability to travel to a disaster recovery site as needed
  • Experience supporting STIG hardening, secure configuration baselines, or comparable Windows compliance requirements
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows server, workstation, policy, and authentication-related issues
  • Experience supporting VMware vSphere or comparable virtualization platforms
  • Experience supporting SCCM, WSUS, or similar Microsoft systems management and patching platforms
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PKI, certificate lifecycle management, or Active Directory Certificate Services
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell for system administration, task automation, and repeatable operational support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to document technical procedures, changes, and support actions clearly
