About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent and promote agricultural and agri-food cooperatives among stakeholders at the national and European levels
- Establish and lead a working group comprising elected representatives and finance leaders from cooperatives to oversee studies on the competitiveness of agricultural and agri-food cooperatives
- Internally lead a working group of cooperative export managers and externally lead a business club dedicated to exports
- Provide collective support to cooperatives in identifying sources of funding
- Organize forward-looking monitoring of economic studies relating to the agricultural and agri-food sector and international affairs, particularly regulatory aspects of access to international markets
- Update the export roadmap and support the international development of cooperatives
- Organize export events, lead business networks, and develop joint export projects
- Periodically analyze economic and financial databases of agricultural cooperatives
- Write analyses, summaries, and position papers
- Lead and write economic publications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree: Master’s degree or equivalent (ideally an agricultural/agri-food engineering degree with a specialization in agricultural economics, or a master’s degree in economics with a focus on agriculture and the agri-food sector)
- At least 3 years of experience
- Expertise in market economics and corporate finance
- Knowledge of the different links in the agricultural and food value chain
- Service-oriented mindset
- Strong writing skills
- Enjoyment of teamwork
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Responsiveness and adaptability
