About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver technical training, workshops and coaching sessions across Academy programmes
  • Use practical exercises, projects and workplace examples to support learning
  • Guide associates through technical challenges and develop their problem-solving skills, independence and confidence
  • Create an inclusive learning environment adapted to different backgrounds, abilities and learning needs
  • Reinforce communication, teamwork and professional skills for client teams
  • Develop and maintain curriculum content, technical frameworks, assessments and learning resources with the Head of Training
  • Keep training aligned with industry practice, emerging technologies and client needs
  • Collaborate with trainers and specialist contractors to maintain consistent delivery and share teaching approaches
  • Use feedback to improve content and delivery and resolve issues
  • Assess assignments and project work and provide constructive feedback
  • Monitor progress and provide targeted coaching
  • Maintain accurate records of learning progress, assessments and feedback
  • Inform the wider Academy team of concerns
  • Support associates’ preparation for client placements with training, engagement and commercial teams
  • Participate in teaching observations and development activities
  • Contribute to Academy projects and attraction activities, including open days, information sessions and workshops for prospective associates and clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least three years’ experience in a technical or training/coaching role
  • Strong expertise in a relevant area of technology
  • Ability to connect technical concepts to practical workplace applications
  • Experience delivering training, coaching or mentoring
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly and provide useful written feedback
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to balance programme delivery, preparation, assessment and individual learner support
  • Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and adapting approaches to different needs
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative training team
  • Commitment to keeping technical knowledge current and continuously improving the learning experience
  • Recognised teaching qualification such as AET, CET, PGCE or equivalent (useful, not required)
  • Experience delivering technology bootcamps, early-career training or Hire, Train, Deploy programmes (useful)
  • Practical experience in a commercial technology environment (useful)
  • Knowledge of AI and organisational applications (useful)
  • Experience using learning management systems or digital platforms to deliver training and track progress (useful)
  • Experience developing technical curriculum content, practical projects or assessments (useful)
