About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute company-directed visual merchandising strategies in La-Z-Boy showrooms
  • Implement floor resets and visual displays according to company standards while adapting to individual store layouts
  • Execute merchandising directives across four Southeast Louisiana stores in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Covington, and Metairie
  • Create visually appealing showroom displays to drive in-store conversion and brand loyalty
  • Follow planograms to position furniture, lighting, accessories, and artwork
  • Refresh and update floor sets for new introductions, seasonal sets, promotions, and inventory strategies
  • Receive, tag, and transfer merchandise within retail showrooms
  • Assemble furniture and climb ladders to hang accessories or pictures
  • Assist with merchandising for new stores, store closings, and regional remodels
  • Collaborate with store managers and the visual merchandising team
  • Participate in meetings about products, accessories, style mix, displays, and related information
  • Analyze trends and shop competition for inspiration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 0–2 years of experience in visual merchandising or a related field
  • Understanding of visual merchandising principles and techniques
  • Strong design taste and sense of style, culture, art, design, fashion, innovation, and technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel to multiple stores in a geographic region
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles
  • Physical ability to move furniture up to or over 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Ability to meet the qualifications in the company’s Driver Management Program if travel/driving is required
