About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the monthly close and prepare timely, accurate monthly management accounts across the Group
Prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting with clear commentary
Own revenue accounting in accordance with IFRS 15
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
Ensure transactions are recorded accurately by entity and division
Coordinate divisional results and deliver consistent reporting to senior stakeholders
Analyze performance against budget, forecast and prior periods
Provide financial commentary and practical recommendations to finance and non-finance stakeholders
Improve the Group’s financial controls with the Financial Controller
Prepare year-end audit schedules and support audit delivery
Help implement NetSuite and transition it into business-as-usual operations
Identify practical uses of AI to automate routine activity and improve analysis
Simplify, standardize and automate reporting and month-end processes
Contribute to finance and cross-functional projects
Mentor an Assistant Management Accountant as the team grows
Build relationships across Finance and the wider business
Adapt to the needs of an increasingly complex and acquisitive international Group

Requirements

What you’ll need

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
Strong management accounting experience
Sound understanding of revenue recognition, balance sheet control and relevant accounting standards
Experience applying IFRS 15 particularly valuable
Ability to connect financial results to operational and commercial drivers
Detail-oriented, accurate and able to deliver to tight deadlines
Comfortable building relationships and explaining financial matters to stakeholders
Agile and adaptable in a complex and acquisitive Group
Improvement-focused with ability to propose and implement practical solutions
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to learn and effectively use finance systems
NetSuite experience advantageous
Previous experience coaching, reviewing or developing others desirable
Motivation to build and lead a small team
