About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop state-of-the-art RAG or equivalent architectures
Develop and orchestrate single-agent or multi-agent AI systems, whether scheduled or event-driven
Develop APIs to serve as facades where necessary
Fine-tune SLMs for specific specializations
Participate in technical governance through a structured cadence
Contribute to Hachette Livre’s broader strategic thinking on generative AI
Work within an experimental R&D team from initial development through deployment and industrialization
Use DevOps/Kanban practices and collaborate with international stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree or higher in computer science, AI, data science, or a related field, from an engineering school or university
Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in Python development, including significant experience with generative AI/NLP (RAG, agents, LLMs) and production deployment
Production-level Python proficiency
LangChain and LangGraph required
Experience fine-tuning SLMs using LoRA/PEFT
Understanding of the evaluation, reliability, and cost-control challenges associated with deployed LLM solutions
Proficiency with LangChain and LangGraph
Experience with RAG architectures, AI agents, and LLM/NLP solutions in production
Professional written and spoken English required
Strong communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders and IT teams
Ability to work independently within a small team
