About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Clean offices, residents’ rooms, dorms, classrooms, schools, common areas, restrooms, halls, food service areas, and other areas requiring attention
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, polish floors, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office space
  • Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, and window coverings
  • Safely use cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer and LFA standards
  • Empty trash and garbage containers and replenish supplies
  • Shampoo carpets and buff or polish floors using mechanical equipment
  • Change sheets and replenish linens
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs
  • Drive a golf cart or other vehicles as needed
  • Move furniture and set up tables and chairs
  • Notify supervisors or managers about major repair or equipment needs
  • Comply with safety and risk management policies and procedures
  • Report accidents and injuries promptly
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments
  • Apply OSHA and local safety requirements and follow established safety procedures
  • Attend designated classroom and virtual training programs
  • Perform other assigned duties
  • Work Monday through Friday, 3:00–8:00 PM, with occasional weekends as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven record of professionalism, initiative, flexibility, and dependability
  • Able to work without supervisory assistance, while knowing the appropriate time to ask for help
  • Willing to perform manual tasks through long periods of standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and grasping
  • Willing to perform repetitive motions and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling loads up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to learn and use established techniques for efficient and compliant completion of duties
  • Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely according to manufacturer and LFA standards
  • Good attention to detail
  • Adequate/reasonable oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well alone and in a team
  • Ability to use relevant electronic and communication devices
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in all OSHA and local requirements related to assigned work
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Successful completion of requirements to establish legal right to work in the United States
  • Successful background check
  • Ability to withstand long periods of standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and grasping
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and handle loads up to 30 lbs.
