About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and develop a team of security engineers and analysts
- Guide vulnerability management, incident detection and response, and identity and access management
- Drive execution of multi-year security initiatives
- Translate security strategy into execution and maintain progress as priorities shift
- Partner with senior stakeholders and leadership on information security policies, procedures, GRC, and plans
- Evaluate security technologies and controls, including proof-of-concept testing and vendor partnerships
- Lead security technology implementation and continuous improvement
- Identify root causes of technical and operational problems and lead durable solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of hands-on experience in information security, with meaningful exposure across multiple domains such as vulnerability management, incident response, endpoint security, or identity and access management
- 2+ years of experience leading a team of security professionals, including hiring, coaching, performance management and career development
- Working experience securing both on-premises and cloud environments
- Solid understanding of cloud networking and operations concepts
- Demonstrated ability to communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience contributing to or executing security roadmaps, policies or programs in a growing or maturing organization
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
- CISSP or equivalent security certification (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in information security (preferred)
- 5+ years of people management experience in a security or technology function (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed environment
- Must be able to work from anywhere in the U.S.
