About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a group of Lakeshore stores
- Build and grow strong Store Manager teams
- Recruit, develop and retain Store Managers
- Build a bench of future leaders and coach managers to do the same
- Set clear expectations for store leaders and manage performance through feedback, development plans, recognition and corrective action
- Lead planned store visits with clear agendas, documented follow-up and verified closure on open items
- Maintain Lakeshore’s brand and operating standards, including visual sets, inventory accuracy, shrink, safety and compliance
- Implement company sales programs and institutional outreach in every store, sustain launches and report results and needed changes
- Plan labor and manage payroll and expenses ahead of promotions, holidays and seasonal peaks
- Own the guest experience across the territory and coach teams on customer-first service
- Close the loop on guest feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of multi-unit retail management experience
- 5+ years leading people, including managing other managers
- Track record of developing talent, building bench strength and planning for succession
- Proven ability to hold a group of locations to consistent operating standards
- Strong business sense, with the ability to read store reporting and find the execution issue behind the number
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Ability to travel regularly within the territory up to 75% each week and work productively from remote locations
- Preferred: 10+ years of multi-unit retail leadership, including managing managers
