About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own demand forecasts for assigned data center hardware portfolios
  • Build and maintain forecast models, assumptions, scenarios, and forecast accuracy tracking
  • Translate demand into supply and build plans for systems, racks, and networking equipment
  • Align manufacturing capacity, lead times, component availability, and deployment schedules
  • Lead execution timing for procurement, builds, and deliveries
  • Plan new platform introductions, transitions, ramp timing, and cutovers
  • Coordinate inbound flow, staging, and delivery with Operations and Logistics
  • Run or contribute to the infrastructure Sales & Operations Planning cycle
  • Produce decision-ready views of supply, demand, gaps, risks, and recommended actions
  • Manage inventory targets, buffer strategies, safety stock, and working-capital exposure
  • Identify and mitigate supply, capacity, allocation, geopolitical, tariff, and demand risks
  • Build contingency and recovery plans and perform scenario analysis
  • Design planning processes, cadence, governance, metrics, data foundations, reporting, tools, and automation for a new team
  • Document scalable planning processes and playbooks
  • Partner with Sourcing, Commodity Management, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and Go-to-Market
  • Provide leadership with market insight and recommendations on supply, cost, and timing trade-offs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, Supply Chain, or Materials Planning for hardware
  • Direct experience planning at the system, rack, or complex-assembly level
  • Experience building demand forecasts and translating them into supply, build, and inventory plans in a long-lead-time, supply-constrained environment
  • Strong understanding of BOM structures and lead times
  • Experience working with ODMs, OEMs, or contract manufacturers on capacity, build schedules, and ramp planning
  • Hands-on experience running or contributing to S&OP or an equivalent integrated planning process
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including statistical forecasting, inventory and safety stock optimization, scenario modeling, advanced spreadsheet skills, and large datasets
  • Experience with ERP and planning systems and improving planning processes and tooling
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive cross-functional alignment, and communicate risks and trade-offs clearly
  • Comfort building processes from scratch in a fast-growth, ambiguity-rich environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field is listed as nice to have
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent is listed as nice to have
  • Experience with hyperscale data center or AI infrastructure build programs is nice to have
  • Experience with new product introductions, platform transitions, and rapid capacity ramps is nice to have
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools is nice to have
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed is nice to have
  • For specific roles: experience planning AI/ML compute systems, GPU servers, accelerated computing platforms, data center networking, optical transceivers and cables, or critical rack commodities
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Able and willing to work onsite at the San Francisco or San Jose office 4 days a week
