About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the sensing signal chain, including ADC acquisition and timing, filtering, integration and averaging strategy, and calibration
- Integrate new detectors and sensing elements as the sensor lineup evolves
- Own integration from board bring-up through production-ready drivers
- Address vibration, EMI, thermal drift, and other noise challenges
- Develop Zephyr firmware to interface new detectors with the modular sensor stack
- Build firmware-side calibration, including on-device coefficient storage, third-party calibration procedures, and final sensor provisioning
- Ship sensor drivers, OTA capabilities, and health monitoring to carry data to the Edge Gateway
- Own the network and control-system layer of customer deployments
- Configure networks, commission PLC connections, and troubleshoot integration issues from first install through steady-state operation
- Work directly with customer IT and OT teams
- Document recurring patterns so future deployments move faster
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience building embedded software for sensors or instrumentation
- Track record of owning the design, implementation, and success of significant components within a larger system
- Comfortable defining technical direction, taking ownership, and delivering in a fast-paced product iteration cycle
- Strong embedded C/C++ on microcontrollers
- Production Zephyr experience
- Fluent in devicetree, Kconfig, west, and the device driver model
- Experience designing filters, addressing sampling and aliasing, and designing/debugging signal chains
- Comfortable with analog concepts including ADCs, gain, references, grounding, and noise
- Testing-focused approach with unit tests, hardware mocks, CI, and realistic data collection
- Experience with optical and electrical sensing and emitters
- Experience productionizing new sensing methodologies from prototype to deployed product
