About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work directly with Laminar’s founders to connect financial insight with company-shaping decisions
- Own the operating model
- Help determine where capital goes
- Play a central role in the next fundraise
- Build and launch strategic initiatives, including an expert-advisory offering, new markets, and partnerships
- Turn company priorities into operating plans, budgets, and hiring decisions grounded in deployment economics
- Develop financial models and performance reporting to guide resource allocation
- Partner with founders on fundraising strategy, investor materials, and diligence
- Recruit initial teams and lead initiatives until they have a permanent owner
- Build a broad operating mandate with room to lead a function or business as Laminar grows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in startup operations, consulting, finance, or investing
- Evidence that you’ve built something and made it work
- Strong analytical abilities
- Comfortable working across technical and commercial teams
- Willingness to take responsibility through execution
- Two professional references requested, ideally one from your current organization and one from your manager
- Background check conducted if an offer is extended
