Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a 12-month training position for future development into Manufacturing Supervision roles
  • Assist in leading overall activities of an assigned feed plant
  • Ensure quality products and services are provided to customers
  • Learn plant processes, including safety and quality regulatory compliance programs
  • Learn maintenance, human resources, managerial, and administrative functions
  • Follow a detailed training schedule through each manufacturing process
  • Gain hands-on knowledge of job responsibilities, equipment, materials, and production processes
  • Understand how production and program supervisors manage their teams
  • Assist with meeting volume goals
  • Maximize yields and minimize material yield
  • Ensure employees follow quality and safety standards
  • Potentially relocate to another Purina plant after successful completion of the training program

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in feed science, animal science, ag systems/technology management, engineering, ag business, supply chain operations, agriculture, or related fields of study
  • Expected graduation date of winter 2026 or spring 2027
  • Demonstrated leadership in school/academic/industry-related clubs
  • Willingness to relocate for the program and upon program completion
