About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work alongside Purina Animal Nutrition Retail Operations Managers with national retailers such as Tractor Supply Co. and regional Farm and Ranch accounts
  • Travel approximately 75% to visit top accounts and learn sales strategy
  • Execute projects to promote Purina and grow and generate sales with national and regional retail accounts
  • Participate in sales calls
  • Assist with market analysis and research
  • Make an impact in the assigned territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pursuing an animal science, agriculture, or business-related bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Junior or senior status preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 75% to visit top accounts
  • Must live in close proximity to an airport due to travel requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and traverse uneven ground
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Satisfactory driving record must be maintained
  • Excellent communication, writing, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and implement projects and general work tasks
  • Ability to give and receive feedback and work collaboratively
  • Effective social and interpersonal communication skills
  • Resourceful and innovative problem-solving ability
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business surroundings
  • Previous sales experience preferred
