About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and improve the Company’s websites, Web-based applications, and internal systems
Write, test, debug, and maintain code according to Company standards and development practices
Develop and maintain Web-based CAD dialog boxes and related functionality
Develop and maintain internal administrative systems, Customer Portal, CRM, and data entry systems
Troubleshoot programming errors, database issues, and website or application performance problems
Review existing code and implement updates and enhancements
Improve functionality, performance, security, and reliability
Collaborate with developers and departments to understand requirements, resolve technical issues, and implement solutions
Manage development tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate progress, delays, or concerns to the Director of Web Development, Project Manager, executives, and team members
Estimate assigned development work and identify technical challenges or dependencies
Follow coding standards, security requirements, source control procedures, and testing practices
Research new technologies and development tools, including AI-based tools, and recommend improvements
Maintain technical documentation and document code changes and development work
Assist with technical needs related to trade shows, conferences, marketing initiatives, and Company events, including occasional on-site work
Perform other programming, website development, and related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5 years of professional PHP programming, website development, or related Web-application development experience
Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PHP-based websites and database-driven applications
Experience working with JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, MySQL, Linux environments, and Git
Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, MySQL, and Linux commands
Strong knowledge of Git, source control, and standard development practices
Strong understanding of front-end and back-end Web development, website architecture, and database-driven applications
Experience with Web design, layout, and content management systems such as WordPress or Joomla
Familiarity with appropriate IDEs, development tools, and debugging techniques
Understanding of website security, testing procedures, and development best practices
Ability to write, review, troubleshoot, and maintain clean, efficient, and understandable code
Ability to effectively use AI-based development tools for coding, troubleshooting, debugging, and development efficiency while ensuring accuracy and code quality
Applicants must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work independently, collaborate with others, manage multiple assignments, and meet established deadlines
Strong organizational, time-management, communication, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and adaptability skills
Relevant educational background, degree, certificate, or equivalent practical experience preferred
