About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review client and project documentation to prepare comprehensive field packages
- Prepare deed sketches, subdivisions, easements, road maps, basemaps, and project plans
- Assist with survey calculations, analysis, map checking, title-data review, records research, and deliverable revisions
- Draft survey exhibits and deliverables
- Write property-boundary descriptions for deeds, leases, and legal documents
- Create, update, and maintain easement and deed sketches in basemaps
- Interpret deeds, maps, and field notes to determine boundaries and existing conditions
- Collect and input field data into folders and systems
- Prepare working drawings for RPLS review
- Determine boundary and easement locations between private and company ownerships
- Prepare maps, sketches, plats, metes-and-bounds descriptions, survey deliverables, and right-of-way plans
- Prepare legal reports, maps, and plats for the survey team and business partners
- Define routes, areas, and sites for fee and easement acquisitions
- Transfer and organize field data into digital formats
- Collaborate with Crew Chiefs, crew members, Project Managers, Field Managers, and other team members
- Coordinate client needs and communicate project schedules
- Ensure projects meet or exceed client requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Field experience is a plus
- Experience in electric utilities is a plus
- Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not required
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel to different job sites
- Ability to perform technical analysis and computations
- Ability to use computers and AutoCAD software
- Ability to interpret deeds, maps, and field notes
- Primarily works in the office for data processing and technical tasks
