About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer, install, configure, update, and maintain virtualization platforms and their components
- Provision, configure, maintain, migrate, and decommission virtual machines, templates, snapshots, clones, datastores, and other resources
- Administer high availability, disaster recovery, replication, load balancing, host migration, and fault tolerance
- Monitor virtualized environments, analyzing performance, utilization, capacity, availability, and trends
- Provide specialized Tier 3 support related to virtualization infrastructure
- Prepare analyses and reports on availability, performance, utilization, capacity, and trends
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, inventory, automation, and the CMDB for the virtualization infrastructure
- Administer enterprise operating systems, including installation, configuration, updates, patching, hardening, parameterization, tuning, and management of services and users
- Update configuration items, participate in meetings, handle support tickets, and perform activities listed in the IT Service Catalog
- Perform other related activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field from a higher education institution recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education; or a bachelor’s degree in any field accompanied by a certificate of completion of a graduate specialization or master’s degree in IT comprising at least 360 classroom hours
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-2), or VCP-VV F Administrator (VMware Certified Professional – VMware vSphere Foundation) certification
- Official ITIL 4 Foundation course
