About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the pricing engine end to end: architecture, development, deployment, optimisation and maintenance
- Build AI-powered analysis tooling and agents for pricing analysis and actuarial work
- Build, improve and maintain high-frequency price updates
- Implement monitoring and testing so pricing changes ship quickly and safely
- Act as the technical counterpart to the tech team from within the insurance team
- Be scrappy and hands-on with whatever the work needs
- Help set the bar for insurance engineering quality and practices at Lassie
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience as a developer, with a track record of owning systems end to end
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or TypeScript
- Comfortable working with data stores and warehouses like MongoDB and BigQuery
- Fluent in English, both speaking and writing
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Genuine analytical interest and drive for optimising pricing and winning customers
- High ability for shipping and learning extraordinarily quickly
- Takes ownership without waiting to be told
- Bonus: Experience with AWS
