About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive test vehicles across multiple states while collecting data on multi-day missions
- Facilitate transfer of collected data back to Latitude
- Work a 6-day, up to 60-hour workweek on a 3-weeks-on, 1-week-off schedule
- Perform daily start-up, system engagement/disengagement, and shutdown procedures for development vehicles
- Monitor and troubleshoot software and hardware systems while on the road
- Execute data collection according to safety and compliance protocols
- Maintain detailed reports on system performance and data collection achievements
- Represent Latitude professionally and responsibly while driving in public environments
- Prioritize the safety of all road users
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two years of employment experience required
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence
- Must meet Latitude AI’s minimum driving record requirements, verified by Motor Vehicle Record background checks before hire and periodically thereafter
- Active passport or passport card
- Ability to pass ten-panel drug screening and criminal background checks before employment and periodically thereafter
- Comfortable spending long hours driving and working in close quarters with others
- Strong interest in technology and ability to adapt quickly to challenges and changes
- Technical proficiency with computers, including typing, checking network connections, and navigating web-based applications
- Basic software and hardware troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work autonomously or with limited oversight
- Reliability and punctuality
- Prior technical driving, fleet operations, or vehicle testing experience preferred
- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics and data logging tools preferred
- Familiarity with Jira, Slack, Driver Schedule, or similar work management tools preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis
