About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect, design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend application code
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to gather requirements, define technical specifications and success measures, and deliver software solutions
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to address them
  • Improve application performance, scalability, and security
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies and suggest product improvements and features
  • Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with Product and Customer Success teams on business requirements and system designs
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
  • Engage with the product and users and provide input on how systems should be built
  • Report to the Manager of the Digital Footprint Team and work alongside Engineering team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6+ years of professional experience in backend software development
  • Full Stack knowledge is a plus
  • Solid understanding of modern web technologies
  • Experience working with large-scale data systems
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of relevant backend technologies
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, messaging queues such as AWS SQS, and MongoDB
  • Experience with Python, Django, FastAPI, or Flask is nice to have
  • Familiarity with Airflow, PostgreSQL, and NestJS is nice to have
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to engage with customers and understand their needs
  • Experience in AI is preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
