About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead contested divorces, complex SAPCR cases, and protective orders
- Represent clients in Harris County and surrounding courts
- Conduct depositions and mediations
- Serve as First-Chair trial attorney
- Apply deep knowledge of the Texas Family Code
- Counsel clients through difficult legal matters with results-driven, compassionate representation
- Lead high-impact family law cases from intake to final decree
- Work with the firm’s marketing and administrative support teams
- Focus on legal practice without lead generation or invoice collection
- Report to Kimberly Washington
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Texas bar license for a minimum of 2 years
- At least 2 years of dedicated Texas Family Law litigation experience
- Fearless courtroom presence
- Ability to manage a high-impact docket under pressure
- Highly organized advocacy skills
- Experience in family law hearings
- Experience in estate and guardianship proceedings
- Experience from initial consultations through drafting pleadings and discovery
- Proficiency in Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite, and modern e-filing systems
