About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the full lifecycle of family law and EPG (Estate Planning/Guardianship) matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and complex discovery responses with high technical accuracy
  • Lead discovery and inventory processes, including tracing separate property funds and identifying red flags in complex financial affidavits or business valuations
  • Partner with attorneys to curate trial exhibits and organize trial notebooks
  • Manage ongoing RFOs (Requests for Order)
  • Oversee court filings
  • Maintain rigorous calendaring for hearings and deadlines
  • Ensure billable hours are captured accurately

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 2+ years of dedicated Texas Family Law experience as a paralegal
  • Proficiency in E-Filing across various state court portals
  • Ability to stay current with local rules
  • Fluency with Clio/MyCase, Google Suite, and modern document management systems
  • Understanding of the distinction between legal information and legal advice
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in emotionally charged litigation
  • Self-starter capable of providing mentorship and contributing to a collaborative team culture
