About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist developers with evaluating software developed for Veterans Affairs
- Help build test plans with test cases based on user stories
- Generate test data using manual processes
- Execute test cases to evaluate software performance
- Document test results
- Communicate defects to the development team
- Support software improvement efforts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must live in the US and have maintained a permanent residence in the US for at least the last 3 consecutive years (36 months)
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Experience with test methodologies, QA process, and the software release cycle
- Knowledge of release procedures and software defect tracking
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
- Ability to apply appropriate test methodologies, including writing test plans and test cases
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience with Selenium
- Experience in an Agile working environment
- Knowledge of operating systems and networking
- Availability to support extended core hours on a rotating schedule, Monday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–10:00 PM ET, and Sunday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM ET, excluding holidays
