About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and communicate leave of absence programs across all company locations
- Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding eligibility, documentation, timelines, and job protections
- Manage leave intake, case tracking, recordkeeping, claims processing, and case resolution
- Own the end-to-end leave and accommodation process globally from intake through return-to-work
- Partner with in-country HR and legal counsel to apply local law correctly
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, insurance carriers, Payroll, Benefits, HR, and Legal
- Ensure accurate pay treatment, benefits continuation, and return-to-work processing
- Monitor legislative changes and translate them into updated policies, processes, and communications
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable data privacy laws, including GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act
- Lead the ADA interactive process and manage disability and medical accommodation cases globally
- Track accommodation requests and outcomes
- Develop leave policies, employee communications, FAQs, and manager guidance
- Report leave program metrics and identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Recommend improvements to leave administration technology and workflows
- Train HR business partners and people leaders on leave and accommodation policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience administering leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, and state/local leave laws
- Experience administering or coordinating leave/accommodation programs across multiple countries required
- In-depth working knowledge of federal, state, and applicable international leave and accommodation regulations
- Demonstrated experience leading the ADA interactive process and managing accommodation requests end-to-end
- Experience partnering with third-party leave/disability administrators, insurance carriers, and in-country HR or legal partners
- Experience applying local employment law in a multi-country operating environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of discretion and sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential employee information
- Proficiency with HRIS and leave management systems such as Workday, ADP, ServiceNow, or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Spanish or Dutch language proficiency is a plus
- PHR, SHRM-CP, GPHR, or CLMS certification is a plus
