About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across the email and communications platform
Build and scale email delivery infrastructure, including sending infrastructure, queue management, throttling, bounce handling, and deliverability optimization
Build and improve APIs, background services, and data pipelines in .NET
Develop and maintain cloud-native services in Azure, including Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, SQL, and Blob Storage
Drive modernization by refactoring legacy code, migrating to modern patterns, and improving observability and testability
Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions with product and stakeholders
Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and incident response
Improve system reliability, maintainability, and developer experience while delivering new features
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–7 years of professional software engineering experience
Full-stack development experience, owning features from backend to frontend
Strong experience with C#/.NET for APIs, services, and backend systems
Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, SQL, and Storage
Experience with high-volume email systems and email deliverability concepts, including SPF/DKIM/DMARC, IP warming, bounce management, feedback loops, and deliverability monitoring
Strong SQL Server experience writing performant queries, designing schemas, and working with relational databases
Experience working in mature codebases and performing incremental legacy modernization
Knowledge of distributed systems, API design, testing practices, and CI/CD
Experience building modern frontend applications with React/Next.js
Digital marketing domain knowledge, including campaign management, lead generation, marketing automation, or dealer/automotive marketing
Experience with message queue architectures and event-driven systems
Familiarity with email service providers such as SendGrid, Mailgun, or SparkPost
Experience working in a multi-tenant SaaS environment
Fluency in English and Spanish
Ability to work effectively in onsite, remote, or hybrid environments using video conferencing and collaboration tools
Professional on-camera presence and proactive communication practices
