About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the State Capacity Building Coordinator and Director in working with LCV and its 30+ state affiliates
- Plan and implement the network-wide annual conference
- Further develop Conservation Voters Movement and State Capacity Building events and operations systems
- Provide support to state affiliates and the conference planning team
- Assist conference attendees with timely support
- Coordinate events and communications
- Provide administrative support
- Collect resources to share on network-wide platforms
- Provide onsite event support during the conference week of May 17–21 in Salt Lake City, Utah
- Support co-creation and facilitation of online and in-person gatherings as part of the conference program
- Work with digital event management and collaborative tools, including Swoogo and Google Workspace
- Support event logistics and agenda design reflecting LCV and CVM goals in advancing racial justice and equity
- Collect and disseminate network-wide resources and communications
- Build facilitation skills and incorporate inclusive practices into gatherings
- Collaborate across the organization and network-wide to achieve shared goals
- Develop project management and administrative skills
Requirements
What you’ll need- Applicants must be located in and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Applicants must reside in the location listed above
- Experience in supporting event coordination and planning
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong research skills
- Solid judgment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks; self-starter
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Demonstrated awareness of how life experiences influence personal attitudes, biases, and assumptions
- Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and ability to successfully deliver culturally responsive services
- Commitment to equity and inclusion as organizational practice and culture
- Understanding of how environmental issues intersect with racism, economic and social inequality in the U.S.
