About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement and support the Lear Finished Goods (LFG) system, Lear’s internally developed shop floor shipping software
  • Coordinate with plant and corporate engineering teams to understand shipping processes and configure and integrate LFG
  • Develop and manage project plans for assigned implementation projects
  • Support pre-shipment testing and debugging of shipping systems
  • Identify system enhancements and submit change requests to the LFG development team
  • Train plant IT and engineering teams on operation and configuration of LFG applications
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support to plants with existing installations throughout the region
  • Communicate effectively with Plant and Corporate personnel
  • Build productive relationships with Lear colleagues and provide knowledge, support, and expertise
  • Work with technology experts to develop, implement, and optimize the operating environment
  • Support automation initiatives from an MES perspective
  • Travel up to 30%–50% when necessary to support plant launches

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • Motivated self-starter able to actively listen, learn, and execute without much direction while working effectively as a team member
  • Positive attitude and ability to stay professional and focused under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical troubleshooting mindset
  • Strong understanding of the Windows PC/Server environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify and convey technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and management
  • Project Management experience
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located
  • Bonus: Experience in a manufacturing IT environment
  • Bonus: Experience with MES (manufacturing execution systems)
  • Bonus: Understanding of TCP/IP communication protocols
  • Bonus: Knowledge of PLC and OPC functionality and capabilities
