About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct technical support for computer equipment and office applications
  • Configure desktops and install and maintain hardware, software, database software, spreadsheets, and other programs
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
  • Administer the manufacturing unit’s network structure, including Windows Server, SQL, and Deployment Servers
  • Complete Ivanti requests, production assistance calls, and escalated white-glove support
  • Install in-house Ethernet cabling and network device structures during emergencies
  • Assist the Regional IT Manager with KPI monitoring, resolution, and escalation
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures
  • Recommend improvements to systems and network configurations and determine hardware/software requirements
  • Maintain SOX compliance forms and procedures
  • Assist with LRP and budget planning and monitor budgets
  • Log daily shift requests and document new procedures
  • Monitor backup and recovery tapes and systems, including DataDomain and Rubrik
  • Serve as first escalation point for IT staff and provide off-hours support via company phone and laptop
  • Verify and maintain antivirus and utility patches
  • Assist with crisis situations involving complex technical hardware or software problems
  • Consult vendors and corporate representatives regarding equipment or service needs
  • Monitor IT operations and complaints and identify problems requiring attention
  • Manage Active Directory, user accounts, groups, privileges, events, and logs
  • Assist with shopfloor application changes, including LearPICS, LPS, and LFG
  • Configure PCs, printers, scanners, and thin clients
  • Provide technical support to production, quality, maintenance, shipping, and other departments in a 24/7 environment
  • Keep abreast of the latest technologies
  • Remotely support multiple sites concurrently
  • Travel to locations for support as needed
  • Plan projects and deployments for multiple locations before travel

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Four-year college degree in Information System or six years previous experience in IT field
  • Hardware and Network Troubleshooting Skills
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • One-year automotive industry experience desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Ability to act as local Project Manager for major projects (Life Cycle, Launches, Enhancements) (bonus)
  • Experience leading or supervising small teams (bonus)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
