About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, modify, and support software development for Learnosity’s AI Labs
Assist with task planning, estimation, and scheduling
Work closely with other teams and management to deliver projects from inception to completion
Keep documentation up to date
Determine root causes for complex software issues
Develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
Work on innovative AI projects for Learnosity, a global assessment-solutions provider
Collaborate onsite with the new AI Labs team to bring products to market quickly

Requirements

What you’ll need

Passion for using technology and AI to have a massive impact in education
Eagerness to use innovative AI approaches to answer hard questions in education
Ability to work with stakeholders across the business, including the CEO and product organization
Ability to build and architect software from zero to release
Ability to prove complex functionality with real data and optimize results
Willingness to contribute across all stages of the software and product lifecycle
Understanding of flexibility needed in a fast-changing technology landscape
Understanding and experience with agile frameworks and practices
Good problem-solving skills and proactive issue resolution
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with Python on web frameworks
Experience with relational, NoSQL, and document-oriented databases and query concepts in high-performance environments
Experience writing unit and integration tests
Strong knowledge of design patterns and backend architecture best practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Right to live and work in Ireland
B.Sc or M.Sc degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar (would be great if you had)
Commercial experience with AI tools and concepts, including machine learning and large language models (would be great if you had)
Experience with Docker (would be great if you had)
Experience with frontend technologies, especially ReactJS and ShadCN (would be great if you had)
Experience of TDD (would be great if you had)
Experience of Spec Driven Development (would be great if you had)
Experience setting up or configuring CI/CD pipelines (would be great if you had)
Experience working in a startup environment (would be great if you had)
