About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the evolution of enterprise and project-level risk frameworks across Operating Companies
- Shape enterprise risk tolerance guidance and advise executives on major pursuits, contractual models, joint venture structures, and risk-sharing strategies
- Act as strategic risk partner to Operating Companies across the full project lifecycle
- Oversee risk assessments, scenario analysis, contract risk allocation reviews, mitigation modeling, and enterprise-aligned recommendations
- Represent Risk Management in governance and operational forums
- Surface emerging risks, systemic exposures, and market trends affecting corporate strategy and competitiveness
- Lead components of annual corporate insurance renewal and risk financing strategy
- Develop enterprise risk intelligence using claims data, analytics, and industry insights
- Strengthen risk measurement and decision support through tools, dashboards, forecasting models, and leading indicators
- Build relationships with executives, brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders
- Advance risk culture, education, and team development, including mentoring the Risk Analyst
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), or significant progress toward completion
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise risk, project risk, insurance, or commercial management within construction or other capital-intensive industries
- Minimum 8 years leading cross-functional risk reviews, contract risk assessments, and enterprise risk processes
- Minimum 5 years advising senior executives and influencing strategic business decisions
- Ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders through expert-level risk insight and strategic advisory capability
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience in risk quantification, scenario analysis, and data-driven insights
- Deep expertise in contract risk allocation, insurance program structures, and construction lifecycle risks
- Ability to lead change, drive framework adoption, manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives, and work independently and as part of a high-performing team
