About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide an elite customer service experience to all customers
De-escalate customer concerns professionally
Work on-site at customer locations
Install and repair internet, copper and fiber cabling, rack-mounted routers, and demarcation extensions
Perform restoration activities, preventative maintenance, and installations
Install, repair, configure, and test moves, additions, changes, and disconnects on Inside Plant and Outside Plant networking equipment
Support customer optical, electrical, voice, and data services
Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues
Install cable runs, swap out cards, and install data circuits for internet connections
Test circuits using optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR)
Maintain and adhere to Ledcor’s safety program when using vehicles, tools, and equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 or more years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, security, and/or cabling
A degree or diploma from a technical college is valued but not required; equivalent experience in telecommunications is equally important
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment
Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work on-call evenings and weekends
Ability to travel with a company-provided vehicle
Ability to meet physical requirements including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights and in confined spaces
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions deemed safe
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Must be authorized to work in the United States, verified through Form I-9 and E-Verify
