About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead day-to-day field activities in alignment with project plans, schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Promote safety through daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, safe work planning, and support for incident reporting and investigations
- Monitor field progress, production, locates, restoration plans, and quality requirements
- Supervise subcontractor safety compliance, schedule commitments, production reporting, and quality of work
- Build relationships with project teams, subcontractors, clients, municipal representatives, landowners, and other stakeholders
- Support access coordination and field-level issue resolution
- Communicate with the Superintendent and project team
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Post-secondary, trade, technical training, industry certification, or equivalent experience is an asset
- Three or more years of construction experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or in a similar field supervisory role
- Experience in underground construction, telecommunications, utilities, technical services, or a related project environment is preferred
- Solid understanding of construction practices, drawings/documents, schedules, cost awareness, and quality requirements
- Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with crews, subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders
- Comfortable working on active project sites and walking across varied terrain
- Ability to use a light-duty truck and GPS verification equipment
- Ability to travel frequently to support project needs
- Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
