About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft through adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct pre-flight safety checks and demonstrate safety procedures
- Monitor cabin for signs of distress
- Assist passengers during emergencies, including evacuations or medical emergencies
- Welcome passengers and create a comfortable, friendly environment
- Assist with seating
- Serve food and beverages
- Maintain cabin cleanliness and orderliness
- Ensure adequate commissary stock items are available onboard
- Complete and submit required safety reports, including SMS reports
- Ensure aircraft orderliness
- Assist in on-time departure of every operated flight
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Previous Flight Attendant experience an asset but not required
- Must stay current and trained on relevant aircraft
- Able to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance
- Comfortable working in confined spaces
- Comfortable working at high altitudes in a pressurized cabin
- Initial three to four weeks training in Calgary, AB
- Working three to four days a week and reserve coverage
- 24/7 availability during the week
