About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment
- Provide light maintenance and routine service to equipment
- Operate equipment and hand tools and lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
- Read underground utility locates and ensure safe digging practices
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment for the crew, public, customer, and Ledcor
- Assist with restoring job sites to their original state
- Build telecommunications networks while maintaining project quality
- Travel throughout Montana as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Valid CDL is eligible for additional pay
- 2 or more years of experience in Heavy Equipment operation
- Experience operating a John Deere dozer, skid steer, mini excavator, and/or back hoe is an asset
- Experience safely operating a variety of large and small power equipment, light vehicles, and properly towing/backing-up trailers
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol screenings
- Ability to meet physical requirements including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and working in all weather conditions
- Ability to travel throughout the state of Montana as needed
- Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States
