About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment according to company and industry standards
- Maintain company equipment according to service requirements and safety guidelines
- Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisor
- Install conduit, vaults, cable, and other telecommunications infrastructure
- Perform general labor when not operating equipment
- Participate actively in Ledcor’s health and safety program
- Assist in building telecommunications networks
- Perform directional boring around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Industry construction experience
- Knowledge of current construction work safe practices
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education program
- Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices as they apply to related construction processes
- Ability to track and communicate daily production and materials
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on uneven surfaces
- Ability to travel throughout the state of Montana
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Able to work overnight and out-of-market when required
