About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop 3D civil infrastructure models for roads, bridges, earthworks, utilities, and related projects
Produce construction drawings and deliverables from digital models
Perform model-based quantity take-offs, volume calculations, and cost-related analysis
Support model-based project coordination with engineering, survey, and construction teams
Identify and resolve modelling or design discrepancies with the project team
Gather and incorporate design and survey information into the digital model environment
Conduct clash detections and assist in developing solutions
Integrate and manage 3D laser scan/point cloud data
Support digital document management and model control processes, including file organization and version tracking

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in civil infrastructure modelling
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
Experience supporting civil infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in models, drawings, and project data
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a team environment, self-motivated, and eager to learn and take on new challenges
Experience with Trimble Business Center, Navisworks and parametric modelling is beneficial
Experience with Dynamo, Python scripting or workflow automation tools is considered an asset
Experience developing 4D simulations using Navisworks, Fuzor, Synchro or similar tools is considered an asset
Knowledge of BIM implementation practices is advantageous
Educational background in civil engineering, surveying, geomatics, or a related discipline is considered an asset
