About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in developing 3D civil infrastructure models, including roads, bridges, earthworks, and utilities, from engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Produce construction drawings and deliverables from digital models
- Support model-based quantity take-offs and volume calculations for estimating and project planning
- Support model-related project coordination with engineers, survey teams, and construction staff
- Assist in conducting clash detection activities and 4D simulation
- Support integration and coordination of 3D laser scans and point cloud data
- Participate in model reviews and quality checks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D
- Exposure to Trimble Business Center, Navisworks and parametric modelling is beneficial
- Educational background in civil engineering, surveying, geomatics, or a related discipline is considered an asset
- Interest or basic experience in civil infrastructure or heavy civil construction projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in models, drawings, and project data
- Experience or exposure to BIM implementation practices is considered an asset
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a team environment, self-motivated, and eager to learn and take on new challenges
