About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and direct teams to ensure project goals, safety, and contract schedules are met
  • Communicate with front-line leaders to ensure contract requirements are executed
  • Monitor cost, schedule, safety, quality, and environmental performance metrics
  • Assist with schedule development, resource allocation, and execution plans
  • Support front-line leaders with training and development
  • Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with HS&E standards and OH&S regulations
  • Review financial reports and implement strategies to achieve targets
  • Ensure contract and regulatory compliance, including collective agreement administration
  • Assist with planning and implementing asset-utilization improvement strategies
  • Oversee highway infrastructure, maintenance, and construction activities in Alberta

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years of experience in highway road maintenance, infrastructure, bridge maintenance, or construction in a supervisory role
  • Technical training or trade certification in a related field is an asset
  • Experience managing bridge and highway projects is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards
  • Proven planning, scheduling, and leadership skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes (ISO or other management systems) is preferred
  • Applicants who reside locally will be given preference
  • Ability to work shift work, on-call, and night shifts
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday and monitor phone for after-hours emergencies
  • Ability to work in office and outdoors in various weather conditions
