About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Adhere to all Ledcor and project safety policies, procedures, and site requirements
- Support earthworks, grading and general site activities
- Use laser levels to establish and check grades
- Work safely around heavy equipment and provide spotting support to equipment operators
- Assist crews with labour-intensive tasks and general site activities as required
- Maintain clear communication with equipment operators, supervisors and other crew members
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and lend a hand wherever needed
- Work night shifts from 6:30 pm to 5:00 am
- Work a 10 days on / 4 days off rotation
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial construction environments
- Previous earthworks and grading experience
- Experience using laser levels to set and check grade
- Experience working safely around heavy equipment
- Previous experience spotting heavy equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based construction environment
- Physically capable of performing labour-intensive work, walking throughout the site and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Must complete required project-specific online orientations
- Candidates must reside within the Greater Edmonton Region
