About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee day-to-day field operations for large-scale long-haul ILA installation projects
Develop project plans and monitor performance
Anticipate client needs and provide solutions
Share expertise and mentor colleagues
Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
Lead development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs
Oversee incident investigations
Review and update construction schedules and address delays
Contribute to project schedules
Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects
Track and report financial aspects of projects
Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
Set priorities and allocate resources for the field team
Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or a similar role
Knowledge of underground fiber installation, civil or wireless construction is a plus
Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
Effective communication and leadership skills
Ability to directly supervise craft employees and subcontractors
Problem-solving abilities and capacity to anticipate and address issues
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to meet physical requirements including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and working in all weather conditions
Able to travel as needed to various Ledcor offices and project sites across multiple states on a travel rotation
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
