About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in intake and co-planning conversations with LEE staff and partner organizations to inform session plans and preparation materials
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual events for future and current members
  • Participate in outreach strategies to increase event turnout, including calls and texts
  • Guide members to appropriate LEE resources, supports, and opportunities, including electoral and policy coaching
  • Use Salesforce, Tableau, Asana, and Google Sheets to input and track member engagement data
  • Analyze event results and enter findings into LEE systems within five business days
  • Use LEE facilitator guides and decks to prepare for sessions
  • Participate in preparation and run-throughs and support session and programming delivery
  • Collaborate with the team to learn facilitation context and share learnings
  • Lead or contribute to team-level, organization-wide, or cross-team special projects as assigned
  • Bring Northern California and/or Southern California local context to member programming
  • Work approximately 12–15 hours per assigned event, including preparation, facilitation, and wrap-up
  • Lead an anticipated average of 1–2 events per quarter

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience
  • If no Bachelor’s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience is required
  • If holding an Associate’s degree, an additional 2 years of relevant experience is required
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including facilitating learning opportunities for adults
  • Ability to plan strategically, prioritize time, and manage implementation in fast-moving, changeable environments
  • Consultative orientation and ability to execute intake needs and co-design experiences with internal and external stakeholders
  • Current residence in the approved Northern California or Southern California regions
  • Willingness to travel in person to regional events
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships with diverse audiences and partners
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a geographically dispersed team
  • Strong commitment to LEE’s mission, core values, and theory of change
  • Native or professional bilingual fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred
  • Civic leadership experience in politics/campaigns, policy, advocacy, and/or community organizing preferred
  • Experience working and coaching across lines of difference preferred
  • Fluency in Google Suite preferred
  • Ability to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends
  • Ability to travel to in-person meetings in various U.S. cities
