About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide high-quality psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral health needs
Screen new clients, identify presenting problems, address urgent issues, and provide referrals as indicated
Administer psychosocial assessments
Provide individual, couples, and family therapy
Apply psychotherapeutic modalities, emphasizing treatment for childhood disorders
Collaborate with clients, physicians, and other providers on client-centered interventions and treatment plans
Re-assess clients and complete new treatment plans as indicated
Work a full-time flexible schedule including evenings and some weekends
Meet with a clinical supervisor at least monthly to review client cases
Document all client encounters and attempted contacts in medical records within 3 working days
Perform billing activities according to agency procedures
Attend required meetings
Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention, including voluntary family planning and preventative health services
Keep abreast of therapeutic techniques, theories, and research
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the social or behavioral sciences
Must be fully licensed in the state of Texas as an LCSW, LPC, and/or LMFT and be in good standing with the credentialing board
Must maintain first aid/CPR certifications
Must obtain, maintain, and participate in Medicare and Medicaid Programs and other specified reimbursement and health benefit programs requested by Legacy
Minimum 2 years of paid work experience providing psychotherapy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Comfortable working with clients across the lifespan, including young children age 4 and up
