Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on a full clinical evaluation
Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patients’ plans of care
Treat residents one-on-one through individualized private treatment sessions using a functional-based treatment approach

What you’ll need

Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school
Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
Minimum commitment of 8 hours per month to maintain active employment
