About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on a full clinical evaluation
- Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
- Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patient plans of care
- Treat residents one-on-one through private, individualized, function-based treatment sessions
- Provide personalized therapeutic and rehabilitative care to senior living community residents
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
- Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
