About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Establish treatment goals and develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
- Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
- Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
- Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional-based treatment approach
Requirements
What you’ll need- Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
- Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
